Today on May 21 I used my time in class to back up my iPad to iCloud. It was fairly easy although I had alittle truouble getting my pages to the cloud, but I got it downloaded with the help of Mr. weller.

May 5, Portfolio Blog Post

Artifacts I plan to include in my portfolio are my biography projects I did in Ms. Messers class. I also plan on putting in some of my art projects as well. The artifact should be on a separate page and it sould have a picture and explaining what the significance about it is. When I looked at the benchmark page it helped me out a lot to figure out what I should put on my website. I could produce a artifate today of my clay animal picture movie I did in Ms. Clark's class. I could produce this week basic calculations, using correct spelling and grammar, and using scientific process.

Pixlr Party Invitation

Tht his is how far I have gotten on our project. I got a frame off google images (source: http://wwww.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photography-birthday-border-image213827 ) then I got a picture off my iPad of my little sister Sophia. I changed the background to orange and then I used  the tool wand tool, and then invert selection and move the border over the picture. Then I just started writing and was about to change the background of the text.

Assignment 5 fire text

With my experience with pixlr will help me create a awesome birthday party invitation. I will need a picture of me because it will be my birthday, I will also need some pictures of balloons and cake. I will be cutting out backgrounds of pictures to put them on my invitation. I will customize my text to make my card pop.

I find it cool that I can change the glow of my text. I like all the customizations this website offers! I didn't find anything confusing about this, it was very simple.  

Assignment 4

 I liked how I could add all these things to make my own picture that I can customize to my liking. I found it hard to figure out how to change the text to make it have background color. I liked the tool Gradient! I think it made for a awesome background. I used gradient to make my background have color that slowly turns white. I feel like it makes a very cool background.

Assignment 3

 I find it cool how you can choose where you want color in your pictures! I thought when I was going to start erasing I was going to erase the whole picture, but it only added the color back to the picture. I feel like it makes the picture look even better.

Assignment 2

I think its cool that I can cut out a pictures background, and that I can add that picture i cut out to another background of my choice. I couldn't figure out how to add background to text. It was confusing me alittle so I gave up after awhile.

Assignment 1

I find it very cool that I can take any picture and mess with and change I to the way i like it. I was just alittle confused with all the tools in the tool bar. I would like to get more comfortable with using these tools.

Blog Post 2: Mrs. Whedon Techniques Fraction Basics

       A Fraction is only a part of a object. It has to have all equal sides for it to be a fraction. Fractions are very basic in the beginning and very easy to solve.
       The way to solve a basic fraction is to split the shape into as many even sides as you want. Then you choose one of the even sides and count all of them including the one you picked.
     After that you write the one you picked and put the number under the total amount of sides.
    This is how you solve a fraction.

Today I figured out my topic for the assignment. I am doing Ireland. I know they are the irish and that there culture has drinking in it. I know that the four leaf clover being lucky originated from there.

Exam website post 3

I really didn't know how to make a website. So I asked Savannah who sits across from me if she knew of any ways to create a website, and she told me to use Wix.com. I took her advice and used there website to create my website. Creating a website with Wix.com is pretty simple. I didn't think it would be this easy! All you do is give them your email, and start putting wh at ever you want in there. You pick a website template, and start customizing it to your liking by deleting what you want, and using the tool bar on the left side of the website. You go to this tool bar to add pictures and videos to your website. You go to the plus on the left side and click on it. When it pops up click on media, then video. Then you click on the video that pops up and press settings. Copy your address of the video you posted to YouTube to the video URL. To get your picture up you go to the add button then click on image and then image again. You save the image you want to a document and then go to the top right and click upload images. You upload the image to my images. You then select the image and click, add image.

Exam Video Post 2

I created my video on iMovie, and saved it to my photos. Then I used the app Simple Transfer, I opened it up and typed in the address on the internet. I opened up the photos folder and downloaded the video to my desktop. Once you get it to your desktop you open YouTube and press upload at the top left. You drag the video from the desktop to where it says upload, then submit it. To post it to my blog I went to make a new blog post, and then I went up to insert a video on the tool bar. I went to my videos and took the video I posted on YouTube to my blog. You need to have the same email for your YouTube and Blogger.

Exam what I can do 1

Today day I went over the page you posted on Schoology. I have never created a website before, but I don't think it will be too hard. If I am having trouble to do something with my website I plan on either asking for Mr. Wellers help, or going back to Schoology and reading over the directions again.  I am going to be using the Wix.com website. I think I can do all the task you have asked us to do. I am going to just follow the directions you posted on Schoology.

Today iMovie

Today I worked more on my iMovie setup tutorial, I took screenshots of iMovie and drew on them with kids doodle.

The sub gave us instructions to work on a new project on iMovie, we had to start our iMovie set up tutorial. I started on it and made it to showing how to create a movie and how to name it.

Difference between presenting my kid in front of the class or on iMovie

I find it a lot more easy to make a movie of my life because, it shortens it so I'm not talking about everything I did, it's a preview of my life. I think it's easier for the watcher to understand my life by seeing pictures of my life.

How to use your iPad by: Paige, Jacob, and Eric 

I liked how they showed how to turn off airdrop, will help me to stop getting random pictures. That you can not drink or eat around your i pad, I did not know you could not. I would suggest doing the part that your partner didn't. In summary i like the presentation but there were parts he left out.

What is done.

Austin is doing the iPad camera and he is all done with his part, he has his writing and his picture. Alexa is doing passwords, email, and backing up your iPad, she is very close to being done, she just has to get some pictures, savannah, she is doing the social media and how to use your iPad correctly in class, she is almost done just has to put pictures on her slides. I am almost dont with my part, I just need to add pictures to my slides.

Project

Savannah is doing the notes for the last two topics and is completely done, Austin is doing the i pad camera and is all done with it, and Alexa is working on passwords and backing up, and she is also done. We have not done the survey yet.

FRED weekend

My weekend was pretty fun, I hung out with friends most of the time! When I first got home I was called up by my buddy Dylan, and I went to his house and talked about some things, and watched its always sunny in Philadelphia. Next I went home and played with my sister and watched tv all day in my room, and ate a bunch of food and talked to my girlfriend. Then the next day I sat at home till about 6 doing nothing and then I went over to my friend Lamar's house and played some battle field 4 till about 12, and then I went home. Finnaly I had my girlfriend come over at about 5 and we watched movies and played with my sister till about 9:30 and we brought her back home. Over all I had a pretty good weekend hanging out with my friends and girlfriend!

I am pretty good with computers, if I have a problem with one I can usually fix it. The first thing I did with my iPad was mess with the settings to get my iPad the way I wanted it to work. Throughout the semester I used my keynote, pages, schoology, subtext, games and other things like that. It is pretty useful for writing papers and making power points, but I think a laptop would be better.
